Invitation to attend:

Kia Ora

On behalf of the Akaroa and the Bays Emergency Resilience Team (ABERT), we would like to formally invite you to attend this community meeting.

The meeting will take place on Saturday, 24 May 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00pm, at The Gaiety Hall, 104 Rue Jolie, Akaroa.

The community meeting aims to present the Community Resilience Plan, which has been developed over the past two years. In light of the recent events, we are expecting a strong turnout.

A wide range of stakeholders are expected to attend or have been invited, including local politicians (mayor, councillors/community board), members of parliament, representatives from Civil Defence, Fire and Emergency, and members of the media who have covered the recent weather event.

This is a great opportunity to collect your personal resilience plan and learn how we, as a community, would respond when the next disaster strikes.

Please feel free to forward this email to friends, family, or anyone else who you think might be interested.

We look forward to seeing you there, and if you have any questions, please send an email to akaroaemergency@gmail.com

Best Regards
