Duvauchelle Primary School was founded in 1860, originally as part of a church school built in the Bay in the 1850s. The school’s original classroom still stands on site and is currently used as the school library and a teaching space. Over the years, the school has seen several additions, including new classrooms, a library converted into a classroom in 2016, and a new tennis court. The school’s history is further honoured by the preservation of the original school bell, which is still used daily.
