Snow and ice reported above Akaroa/Eastern Bays. There has been a report of slick road conditions with snow/hail/ice on and below the Summit Road above Akaroa (probably down to about 350 m elevation). Icy showers continue over Banks Peninsula through into tomorrow morning. Expect 2 cm or so to accumulate at times until about 11 am Thurs, esp. places exposed to the east and south. The highest risk will be overnight and early Thurs.
