Important Notice: Temporary Road Works in Your Area

We are writing to inform you of an upcoming Traffic Management Impact in your area. This work is necessary to ensure the safety of workers and road users while works are carried out. The details are as follows:

Christchurch Akaora Rd SH75, Between Cooptown and Hilltop

 Purpose of the Traffic Management Site

Stop Go Operation – is required to provide a safe working space and warning to motorists of an active worksite to complete road repairs. Your cooperation and understanding are greatly appreciated as we carry out this important work.

This work is proposed to commence on:

Monday 2nd to Friday 20th December – Between the Hours of 6:00am & 6:00pm.

What to Expect

  1. Lane Closure: Christchurch Akaora Rd SH75 will be reduced to one traffic allow, this will be controlled with a Stop-Go Operation while the site is active.
  2. After Care: Christchurch Akaora Rd SH75 will have road surface advisory signage and temporary speed limit in place while the site is unattended due to unsealed road surface.
  3. Noise and Vibrations: There may be some noise and vibrations during the work. We will do our best to minimize these disturbances.
  4. Traffic Management: Our Site Traffic Management Supervisor (STMS) will be on site to assist with resident traffic and pedestrians within the closure area. Please look out for our friendly staff wearing yellow high-visibility vests.
  5. Any restrictions put in place will apply to all vehicle traffic except for emergency service vehicles.

  2. Weather Contingencies: In the event of poor weather causing delays, a new date will be communicated through an updated letter drop.
