Governors Bay Volunteer Fire Brigade
Governors Bay Volunteer Fire Brigade – Your Local Lifesavers
The Governors Bay Volunteer Fire Brigade is a group of local people who volunteer their time to keep the community safe. They are based at 1 Ernest Adams Drive, Governors Bay, and are always ready to respond to emergencies in their area.
What They Do
The brigade handles a variety of emergencies, including:
-
Wildfires: Responding to and managing bush and grass fires.
-
Civil Defence: Assisting during natural disasters like storms and floods.
-
Fire Safety Advice: Offering guidance on safe burning practices and fire prevention.
They also provide fire safety and burning advice. If you’re planning to light an open fire, it’s important to check the fire season status and find out whether you need a fire permit.
The Volunteers
All members of the Governors Bay Fire Brigade are volunteers. They live in the local community and dedicate their own time to serve and protect their neighbours. When an emergency arises, they respond quickly and efficiently.
How You Can Get Involved
